I am an award winning degree certified naturopath and medical herbalist, currently finishing my post grad qualifications to register as a holistic nutritionist and health coach.
I employ a practical approach to elevating your health and vitality. This means seeing the whole of you, not just your symptoms, but all of the things that make you, you. This includes your mindset, home environment, eating habits, sleep, worries and concerns, culture and aspects of daily life. As a health and wellness coach, I want to get to know your values and what lights you up, as well as your goals for good health, energy and vitality.
I have a reputation for explaining complex situations in plain language, helping you to make sense of your health, and to give you confidence as to what needs to be done to optimise your health. Being able to combine the best of naturopathy, herbal medicine and holistic nutrition with health coaching helps me support you to your best outcome.
I wholeheartedly believe (actually, I know) that giving you agency over your future health and vitality is the ultimate gift. Liberating you from the stream of (often) misleading natural health advice on the internet, and showing you how to make your health habits simple and achievable is the number one goal when it comes to health optimizing.
Prior to becoming a natural health practitioner and health coach my career spanned many years in the food industry. I launched barista training centers in Auckland and Queenstown, introduced new and exciting foods into restaurant and hotel kitchens and headed up a cooking school in Wynyard Quarter (Auckland).
However, life wasn’t always rosy. I endured nearly a decade of clinical depression in my 20s which was absolutely hideous. By (slowly) learning how to prioritise nutrient dense foods, good sleep, movement, uplifting friendships and how to regulate my nervous system (this was a biggie) I became well, with no lingering effects.
My health optimisation didn’t happen overnight (far from it), but the experience made me appreciate the fragility of health, how deeply connected the mind and body are – and how, incredibly, we can return to balance when we get the basics right. This is one of the reasons why I retrained as a naturopath after my youngest went to intermediate school. It was a tough 3 year degree during the covid years. I feel fortunate to be an evidence-based science backed natural health practitioner serving a community of people, like you, who are searching for natural health optimisation.
When I’m not practising or health coaching you’ll find me cooking, researching or tending to our family native regeneration project in semi-rural North Auckland. We have planted 7000 natives on what was once a sheep paddock, built a house on the land and fostered an oasis of calm. My clinic room is on site and clients often remark on the peaceful feeling they have from being here. It’s a healing space, a special place and I look forward to welcoming you here.
